Main Activities/Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of CIS and SBS programmes in Strathclyde Bahrain. Working closely with Programme Director(s), delivery staff and other key personnel both in Bahrain and Glasgow, support all aspects of the programme, promoting operational excellence and ensuring an outstanding student experience.
2. Act as first point of contact for all students and staff, responding to and resolving a range of standard and unforeseen issues deciding on what action is required and when to pass complex enquires to others. Provide advice to students on matters including delivery, timetabling, assessment requirements and deadlines, and on aspects outstanding to pass modules on the programme.
3. As a key member of the programme team, complete administrative tasks to support the running of the programme including timetabling (scheduling & booking rooms), updating handbooks, uploading materials and post messages on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Provide general programme support to the delivery team to ensure smooth running of the programme.
4. Support the organisation of induction events and any open/information events including booking rooms, ordering catering, and making travel arrangements. Attend events as appropriate. Collaborate with other administrative Strathclyde Bahrain colleagues to ensure a well-managed and coherent experience for all students on campus.
5. Support the preparations for the Board of Examiners under the direction of the Programme Director.
6. Circulate meeting agendas and papers, take minutes and liaise with the meeting chair to support the follow up on agreed actions. To include Student Staff Liaison Committees, and other programme or general committees.
7. Support the coordination of key quality assurance and learning enhancement activities in line with established policies and procedures, including liaising with External Examiners, arranging Student Staff Liaison Committees, distributing, and promoting feedback mechanism such as surveys. Contribute to annual reporting, and accreditation activity as required.
8. Support the management of budgets across CIS and SBS for the programmes within the portfolio. Complete finance and procurement administrative tasks including raising purchase orders, placing orders, and processing invoices and expenses.
9. Provide administrative support and coordination for a variety of projects or activities across teaching, research and innovation activities. Provide administrative support as required under the supervision of the Project Lead.
10. Work collaboratively as part of the wider University of Strathclyde team to achieve our strategic goals, including providing an outstanding student experience and education for all Strathclyde students.

Qualification Required
Diploma in a related discipline.
