Job Summary
The Operation Engineer is responsible for all electrical / mechanical installation works for all EMD/LCD system projects. Based on his experience, he is expected to provide coaching to junior engineers and technicians on site.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and efficiently implement in coordination with Safety Engineer a comprehensive site EHS plan.
- Ensure that the safety & health behavior/attitude are incorporated into the project's team culture
- By coordinating with Safety Engineer, up-date the EHS plan at regular basis throughout the project duration to ensure that anyall carried out changes in the EHS' procedures applications are properly implemented in the EHS plan.
- Continuously attend Job site to make inspection of EHS systems and application of its rules and standards to premises & staff.
- Report any HHS violation case to PM. As well as submitting a weekly report for EHS status.
- Provide enough training and familiarization to the workers on the different EHS procedures and req.
- Ensure the immediate close out of any EHS audit finding.
- Promote Safe practices at construction Job site.
- Inspect Site prior to and during construction to ensure that working environment is hazard free
- Prepare Work Permits in Coordination with Construction team and keep track & record of the same
- Carry out Safety Induction trainings to all project team
- Carry out daily Tool Box meetings
- Prepare all EHS related method statements
- Inspect all Scaffoldings & ensure that it has valid safety tags
- Ensure that all constructions staff are equipped with PPE
- Attend Weekly Site Safety meetings
- Keep records of all types of accidents & injuries including those that caused loss of working hours
- Conduct investigations of all near miss & site related accidents and prepare safety reports to include lessons learned & share with PM and Safety Engineer for their further processing
• In addition to the responsibilities listed above, perform other related duties when requested.
