Job Summary:
The Master Trainer(s) will be responsible for developing, delivering, and cascading training programs to equip NFE facilitators and PYE’s Safe Space network with advanced knowledge and skills. The Master Trainer(s) will lead capacity-building efforts focusing on methodologies such as active learning, SEL, and Reciprocal Learning for Change (RLC). This role involves creating training content, conducting workshops, mentoring facilitators and peer assistant facilitators, monitoring the delivery of non-formal education sessions for youth in grades 7-12 (focusing on Math and Science), and providing technical support to enhance learning outcomes and participant engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Capacity Building:
- Design, organize, and deliver training-of-trainers (ToT)s to NFE facilitators in the specified methodologies in science and mathematics subjects.
- Adapting training materials, guides, and resources to align with the Palestinian context and prescribed methodologies.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching, mentoring, and feedback to ensure proper implementation of the methodologies. Support review of learning material under NFE and provide recommendations for linkages and further development of the remedial activities and other activities under NFE.
- Organize ToTs, Community of Practice, and refresher sessions targeting the partners and the safe spaces.
2. Program Implementation:
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate the methodologies into existing educational initiatives.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of program delivery, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Support NFE facilitators in implementing innovative teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and SEL competencies.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Assess the impact of training and methodology implementation through
surveys, classroom observations, field visits, and reports.
- Collect data and prepare regular reports to track program outcomes and
identify areas for improvement.
- Review the approach and delivery of NFE to ensure alignment with best
practices in non-formal education to maximize the effectiveness of the
learning materials.
- Conduct field visits to observe the implementation of the program and
gather feedback from facilitators on further aspects for support and
pedagogical strategies.
- Provide insights to adapt and tailor learning material and ToTs to suit
target audience and local context.
- Gather feedback after training sessions and analyze feedback to refine
future training for better results.
4.Administrative and Operational Support:
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and progress.
- Support the preparation of budgets and logistical arrangements for
training activities.
- Ensure real-time data collection for training documentation in
collaboration with MEL teams.
- Assist with the coordination of logistics to organize training schedules,
venues, and resources, ensuring seamless delivery of all activities.
